Terms and conditions

Quality content that meets the mark is only possible when expectations are clearly communicated. To ensure my clients are always happy, my processes, and terms and conditions, are grounded on open, transparent communication that you can read through freely.

My rates are determined according to the expected copywriting factors discussed in a project consultation. To clarify, factors like content parameters, volume and deadlines are all taken into consideration. Any required research, formatting and design are always itemised at an hourly rate on project estimates.

With all estimates, I offer a free revision session for minor editing to factual copywriting errors. Any substantial redrafting or redesigns may incur a 33% charge. Estimates are valid for 30 days and are VAT exclusive.

Projects can only be confirmed and scheduled once the cost estimate has been approved by providing an upfront payment of a 50% deposit, with the understanding that my terms and conditions have been read through.

I agree not to discuss any research, material or consults pertaining to commissioned work with any third party, except as is necessary to create your content project. Regardless, should you need a non-disclosure agreement, I will gladly provide you with one.

Any completed project’s outstanding balance, including additional approved changes that weren’t initially quoted for, will be invoiced on project delivery, and not on publication date, whether or not the content I produce will be used. Please bear in mind that no ‘strike’ or ‘kill’ fees are accepted for any projects.

All drafted projects are provided in a watermarked PDF format until final approval has been given. Upon project delivery, all watermarks will be removed and hand-off will signify the project’s completion.

Payments can be made via EFT, with the relevant document number as payment reference. Unfortunately, PayPal, vouchers, and cheques WILL NOT be accepted. Cash deposits will attract additional fees.

Write It Up reserves copyright on all content, in process or completed, until final payment has been processed. Also bear in mind that all copy and projects are created for singular use and can incur a usage fee should the copy be used any further.
